Anthony Guanciale, M.D.

Dr. Anthony GuancialeDr. Anthony F. Guanciale received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio, completed his internship in General Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and then went on to complete his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Guanciale completed his fellowship in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, California- under the direction of Dr Robert G. Watkins. Dr. Guanciale spent the past 16 years as the Director of Orthopaedic Spine Surgery and Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has numerous Orthopaedic and Spine publications, and has lectured extensively on spinal ailments to physicians in training. Dr Guanciale is the Spine Surgeon Consultant to the Cincinnati Bengals and the University of Cincinnati.

Dr Guanciale is a member of a number of professional associations including the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine, Ohio State Medical Association, Ohio State Orthopaedics Society, Mid-America Orthopaedic Society, North American Spine Society (Scientific Committee member and Public Affairs Committee member ), and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Guanciale is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and his special interests include minimally invasive surgery, adult scoliosis deformity, and revision/ corrective surgery. He has been named one of Cincinnati’s Top Doctors.
